Books are often thought of as an academic or old fashioned thing but the truth is social media has created a whole new forum for book lovers. Find out which sites you like best!
The obvious: Amazon’s Twitter may seem like a mainstream choice, but nevertheless it has a decent “best books list” for when you’re looking for that next great book to read.
When you’re in the mood to just look at the pictures: Cover Junkie’s Tumblr blog shows the most creative magazine covers from around the world.
For the political junkie: These Daily Beast Tweets cover everything from releases of political books to the latest important news for people who want to keep a close eye on politics.
When you need a good quote: Bookmania’s Tumblr showcases both cool images of books and interesting book quotes. It doesn’t come straight out and tell you what books to read, but maybe a quote will catch your eye.
A site for everyone!: Goodreads.com is a site completely based around books. As expected with the typical social media feel you have to “create an account.” But from there you can rate books you’ve read, make a list of books you want to read and have the site calculate which books it recommends for you.
