No escape from Google

New google glass will identify your friends in a crowd by their clothing and gait.

This new technology is designed for Google’s Glass headset and will be able to recognize people without facial recognition software, according to a report by NewScientist Tech.

The system is called InSight, and Srihari Nelakuditi developed it along with Romit Roy Choudhury and others at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

But don’t freak out.

This software creates a “fingerprint” or a fashion profile of a person using photographs, and it is only able to recognize a person until they change their clothing.

Phew. Sweet, sweet anonymity will be yours once again, provided you have more than one outfit.
