I was so excited when Adam Richman agreed to an interview for Vox‘s food challenges feature, particularly because the idea for the story came from watching his show Man v. Food. Adam was so generous with his time and shared a lot of fun stories about traveling the country.
But there was one quote that really stuck with me: “Let’s face it. You know, we all can’t dunk like Kobe … but we can all eat.”
Luckily, Columbia provides a lot of great opportunities to do just that.
Whether it’s the unique appetizers at Addison’s or a late-night plate of greasy chicken nachos from El Rancho, Columbia makes it easy to fulfill Adam’s statement. Where else in mid-Missouri can you get tiramisu French toast like the one at Sophia’s, or a five-pound burger that’s bigger than your head?
I’d encourage you to take Adam’s words to heart. Be thankful Columbia offers such a wonderful and wide variety of cuisines. We can’t all be superstars in highly coveted careers, but like he said, we can all eat.
Bon Appetit!
