This morning, St. Louis radio talk show host and movie critic Mark Reardon of KMOX chatted with 102.3 BXR morning radio hosts Simon and Leslie about all things True/False. Reardon is a graduate of MU’s very own Journalism School, a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association and often reviews films for BXR.
After poking fun at Simon Rose for spilling water all over himself in the studio, Reardon shared which films he’s most excited for at the festival. If you didn’t snag that pass for the whole weekend but are still looking to buy single tickets, take some advice from an expert and look into Project Nim, The Interrupters and Life in a Day.
Reardon added that he was able to see Zielinski yesterday evening, which he called very captivating. He explained that festival-goers shouldn’t judge a picture going into it and said he always expects good products from the festival.
Festival attendees can see the film buff at the Columbia Art league at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday for the panel titled, “It’s Not About the Realness: Evaluating the Current State of Documentary Criticism.”
