CoMo’s culture scene is in luck: The 2011-2012 schedule has been announced, and it looks like this year will be full of film, dance, theater and music. Ticket sales begin Thursday, Aug. 25. Playhouse Company
Circle Mirror Transformation
When: 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23-24; Sept. 30-Oct. 1; 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25
Where: Macklanburg Playhouse, 100 Willis Ave.
Price: $14 general; $7 student/senior
This off-Broadway comedy takes place in Vermont and follows five adult drama students as they gather weekly.
The House of Blue Leaves
When: 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28-29; Nov. 4-5; 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30
Where: Macklanburg Playhouse, 100 Willis Ave.
Price: $14 general; $7 student/senior
This out-there comedy about nuns, zookeepers, schizophrenics and more is a Tony Award-winning show.
She Loves Me
When: 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2-3; 8-10; 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4
Where: Macklanburg Playhouse, 100 Willis Ave.
Price: $16 general, $8 student/senior
If you like romantic comedies such as The Shop Around the Corner or You’ve Got Mail, then this musical is for you.
Warehouse Theatre Company
Sealed for Freshness

What happens when you mix martinis and housewives? This comedy shows a 1968 Tupperware party gone awry.
Necessary Targets
When: 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9-12
Where: The Warehouse Theatre, 104 Willis Ave.
Price: $8 general, $6 student/senior
Two American women go to Bosnia to help women refugees and find themselves changed in the process. Rated PG-13 for mature themes and mild language.
Dance
Senior Dance Concert

Where: The Warehouse Theatre, 104 Willis Ave.

The graduating Stephens College dance majors showcase the culmination of what they’ve learned.
Music
Bach’s Lunch
When: 12:30 p.m. Sept. 29, Oct. 27, Nov. 17
Where: Historic Senior Recital Hall, 100 Waugh St.
Price: Free
Open to the public, this series of showcases is performed by Stephens students.
Holidays with the Velvetones
When: 7:30 p.m., Nov. 13
Where: Historic Senior Recital Hall, 100 Waugh St.
Price: Free
The Stephens College a cappella jazz ensemble gathers to perform holiday classics.
A Dickens Victorian Christmas
When: 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4-6
Where: Historic Senior Hall Parlors, 100 Waugh St.
Price: $15
Hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dickens, this authentic Victorian Christmas recreation has music, period dance, refreshments and games.
Film
Citizen Jane Film Festival
When: Sept. 30-Oct. 2
Where: Stephens College campus
Back again, this festival has short and feature film screenings, panel discussion and a video art performance/installation.
