When the full moon rises in May next year, don’t be surprised if you hear a louder than usual howl in Columbia – or if you see werewolves roaming the city.
A gathering of Werewolf fans will be held here then and will feature all things werewolves. Called “Werewolf Con,” event will be held over three days starting on May 4 at the Midway Expo Center.
Like Comic Con, a convention held in San Francisco for comic book fans and publishers, Werewolf Con, too, will feature a film fest, an arts and fashion show, a masquerade parade – and even a Werewolf Ball Concert. The event already has a couple of prominent comic creators on its guest list, including David Gallaher and Steve Ellis of High Moon fame.
Tickets and merchandise are already for sale on the event’s website.
Werewolf Con is organized by Con Extreme, an event company based out of Kansas City.
Werewolf-Con is a “educational organization dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, Werewolves, Therians, Shifters and Otherkin. We celebrate the historic and ongoing contributions of all things related to the culture and belief,” according to its website,

Just an quick update on this event – Werewolf Con was canceled in March, refunds were promised to the vendors that had already paid, yet those refunds never came. Werewolf-Con and Con Extreme have closed up shop and vanished from the face of the internet… leaving behind a very irritated group of writers, artists, and crafters who shelled out hard earned money for a booth that never happened.
I must say that whatever ConExtreme, Jordan Polintan and someone going by the Werewolf Ball sign on of Elder Xyno’s endgame was, it certainly came across like a con. They took me and several others and we’re beyond unhappy.
