The first planning meeting I attended for True/False was in a writing class the second week of classes this semester. There, we brainstormed the stories that eventually became part of last week’s print issue feature package. We talked about secret screenings, hipsters, zombies and 5Ks.  Like all good brainstorming sessions, this time was spent in pure creativity mode.

The second planning meeting I attended for True/False included spread sheets. In our editorial director’s office, we mapped out the coverage that has been appearing on our blog for the past 96 hours. We talked about meetings, schedules, sign-out sheets and Google Docs.

Myself and the Scene editors jumped in head first Thursday, not quite sure what to expect, except that we wouldn’t be sleeping much for the next four days. Despite that, we’ve loved every minute we spent covering the fest from our own perspective over here at 8th and Elm streets.

Thanks True/False. It’s been a ride.
