Tax season may be over, but auditors are lurking around every corner. Save yourself the headache and worry by saving receipts this year. But who really wants to store all of those miniscule bits of paper? One Receipt makes it possible to store all of your purchase information on your phone. To use the app, all you have to do is snap a picture of the receipt, fill out a description and the app will take care of the rest. It also automatically tracks your online purchases and gathers them in the almighty cloud.
No, it’s not as cool as the zombie exercise app, but it is a great motivator. Fitocracy is a real life adventure fitness game where you and friends can complete quests to obtain your fitness goals. The quests are exercise challenges which earn you points to move up the leader board. It is a very social fitness forum as well. In the app, and online, you can join groups, and track the progress of your friends on the leader boards.

I confess… I am a movie junkie. That being said, it was important to me to find a great app to find local movie times when I first got my phone. Showtimes is the best app I’ve found so far. It’s normally a last minute decision when I go to the movies, so being able to access the information quickly was a very important feature. Local theaters are arranged in alphabetical order, but the app allows you to reorder them according to your favorites. You can also watch trailers on your phone and reviews from other mobile users. For users looking to purchase tickets though, Showtimes doesn’t have that feature. Fandango does offer in app ticket purchases, but I don’t find it to be as user friendly when you just want to know movie times.
