Sports > Columbia Cougars head to the quarterfinals
The Columbia College Cougars are headed to the American Midwest Conference to play Williams Baptist College in the quarterfinals.
After splitting a double-header on Friday against fifth-seed Missouri Baptist on Friday, the Cougars rallied on Saturday to win 8-0.
The fourth-seed Cougars (25-17) will play the the conferences top-ranked Williams Baptist College Lady Eagles (45-8) at on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Walnut Ridge, Ark. The quarterfinals follows a best-of-three matchup; both teams will play a doubleheader on Tuesday and a third game on Wednesday at 2 p.m. if the doubleheader is split.
