Tired of waking up Monday morning and realizing you blew your whole paycheck over the weekend? Here are some fun and FREE (and cheap) things to do this weekend!
This week is full of stuff to do for the family. Grab your kids and hike on over to Bass Pro Shops for their Kids Challenge Weekend Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. There will be lots of challenges for everyone, including the Casting Challenge, Archery Challenge, Life Jacket Challenge, Sleeping Bag Challenge and Knot-tying Challenge. Once you’ve completed all of the challenges, you’ll get to spin the prize wheel. There will also be arts and crafts from 1 to 4 p.m. both days.
Also for the family, as well as animal-lovers, is the 2012 Annual College of Veterinary Medicine Open House at the College of Veterinary Medicine. The event is tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is going to have a ton of stuff to do including:
- Tours of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital along with demonstrations
- Purina Incredible Dogs performances
- College admission requirements presentation
- Mule Club wagon rides
- Petting zoo with dairy cows and calves, alpacas, llamas, goats, pigs, ducklings and chicks
- Children’s stick horse rodeo
- Boone County police dogs
- Animal handling demonstrations
- Teddy Bear suture clinic
