My favorite part of the warm weather is all the cool yet sweet desserts. It makes for a great afternoon or evening (heck, even morning) activity. So no matter your choice refreshment, you can probably find something you like.

Andy’s Frozen Custard- The concrete is the ideal afternoon treat. They change their flavors often, so lovers of all flavors are sure to find something they can’t resist. But for all of you late night cravers, Andy’s is open until 11:30 during the warm months.

Red Mango-If you have a morning sweet tooth or want to sweet without the guilt, this is definitely the right place for you. Red Mango offers frozen yogurt parfaits with fresh fruit and even smoothies to start your day off right. As far as flavors go, they’re constantly shifting and always delicious. Cake batter, coconut, cookies and cream. YUM.

Encore Wine and Dessert Bar-This is reserved specifically for weekend nights. Mostly because it’s only open on the weekends after 7 p.m. You can gather a group of girls or impress your date with some appetizers, decadent desserts and wonderful wines. It’s a great after dinner or movie spot.

Sparky’s Ice Cream-More or less legendary in Columbia. Their funky flavors and unique decor invite a crowd of all ages. But beware, you might have to show ID for some of their flavors!
