I’m pretty sure every 21-year-old has downloaded the free Mixology app for quick and dirty drinks to mix at home, but for someone looking for a more sophisticated and creative cocktail, Food & WINE has compiled a list of their favorite cocktails in this easy to use and clean mobile app. Drinks can be found based on alcohol, drink type and food parings. You can also find a list of their top bars in the app and tips to make the perfect cocktail, including a spirits lexicon.

I recently made a trip to Iowa, and on the way there, I burned through more than half of my data plan because of all the incoming e-mails being sent to my iPhone. I only wish I had found this app before that trip. Onavo works to shrink your data usage and increase the speed of your connection. It is a great utility app to have on your phone especially while traveling.

I love to spend my downtime during summer reading. I also like to challenge myself to read an unachievable amount of books by the end of the year. I was having a hard time finding books that interested me for a while until I found goodreads.com. It is a great community of bookworms like me with community boards, book lists and a book recommendation generator. What is also great is that you can enter the yearly challenge and keep track of all of the books you read. Okay, so that’s the website. The app is pared down version of the website with the ability to browse books, update your reading status, and even access a few of their mobile books within the app itself. It is a little more difficult to navigate than the website, but it is great if you plan on traveling and reading this summer.
