Popcorn and Milk Duds are so passé. Atypical theater meals have long been a hallmark of the Ragtag viewing experience, but the second annual Homebrewed Film Series, which takes place each Wednesday in June, takes it to a new level.
The series pairs four independent American films with microbrews representative of each movie’s respective setting and spirit, perfect for cinephiles looking for a break from summer blockbusters or everyday film refreshments.
The series kicks off on June 6 with The Color Wheel, a comedy with multiple independent accolades — both the Village Voice Film Critics Poll and Indiewire Film Critics Poll voted it Best Undistributed Film of 2011. Other features in the series include Sun Don’t Shine, The Wise Kids and In the Family. Keep an eye out for our reviews of each film and craft brew.
