Well, it’s been fun. For the very last time, see what Columbians are all a twitter about on a popular social networking website, Twitter.

Last Saturday, the moon appeared to be 30 percent brighter and up to 14 percent bigger to humans scattered across the globe. #Supermoon became a trending topic on Saturday, and Columbians were gazing at the orbiting object for much of Saturday night. On Sunday morning, photographers’ images taken the night before all over the world blew up on Tumblr and Twitter, but if you ask me the moon didn’t seem that super when I saw it in Columbia. I’d describe CoMo’s super moon experience to be more mediocre moon.

More than 180,000 signatures were collected and submitted in a petition to the Secretary of State’s office on Monday to encourage greater restrictions on pay day loan business in the Show-Me state. However, the organizers have many more obstacles to overcome before restrictions will be put on this November’s ballot. A lawsuit has been brought against the petition by a pay day loan business owner that claims the petition individuals signed is deceptive and fails to include that Missouri pay day loan businesses will lose revenue, thereby eliminating jobs and eventually closing business across the state. It’s been described as a hard battle between petition supporters and their opposition, and I don’t see the issue being resolved any time soon.
