Whether you’re moving out of your apartment this week or a permanent Columbia resident, there’s a strong chance that if you eat or drink in Columbia, your cupboard is full of round plastic cups from Shakespeares, Harpos and the like. Ryan Cornell has already analyzed what those cups say about you, but I’d like to take this advice to a much more practical place: how you can incorporate them into a DIY.
1. Shakespeare’s succulents
Those little cups are kind of pot shaped. Take that sucker, stick some dirt in and plant one of these lovely little cacti inside.
2. Cookie cutter
The top of these cups is suspiciously round. I’m thinking it would make a nice, symmetrical cookie.
3. Sand-castle builder
Take your Shake’s souvenir on vacation to beach and make some sand castles. The rim would make a tower with a foundation-like base.
