Looking to add a little excitement to your weekend (and diet)? Why not try the 19th Annual Testicle Festival in Olean, Mo.? Yes, you read that right, there is a festival devoted entirely to testicles. Turkey testicles, that is.
For the past 19 years, the small town of Olean, just outside of Eldon, has been joining together for a day of live music, crafts, raffles and deep-fried turkey testicles. Supposedly, the breaded balls taste similar to fried chicken or tenderloin, but are richer and more filling. But if you’re not feeling very adventurous, not to worry: The festival will have other food options and a beer garden to wash it all down.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 2 and will run from 11 a.m. to midnight. Admission will be $5 for adults and children 12 and under are free. So grab your kids, grab your wife and have a ball!
