Bummed about Shawn Johnson’s announcement that she’s retiring from her gymnastics career? Join the rest of America.

We have good news for you, though: The talented and affable 20-year-old Olympian wrote a memoir that will be hitting bookstores Tuesday, June 5.

After the apparently career-ending ski injury she suffered two years ago, Johnson began to rethink what was really important to her off the balance beam. In Winning Balance, she writes about rediscovering herself and redefining her definition of success.

The summer Olympics may not be the same this time around, but a big thanks to Johnson for leaving us all with a sure-to-be inspiring condolence gift.
