Art > Columbia artist wins Houlihan’s contest
Houlihan’s recently held a Call for Art contest asking their guests to submit original artwork. The chosen winners would have their art displayed in Houlihan’s newest location in Grand Rapids, Mich. Columbia resident Kent Durk was one of ten participants chosen, and the only one to have more than two pieces selected. In fact, five of Durk’s photographs will be displayed in the Grand Rapids restaurant.
Durk is best known for his panoramic photos of old and abandoned homes. He edits his photos using high dynamic range imaging so that they take on a unique painting-like quality.
