Let’s get real: going out isn’t cheap. To make fun a little more economical, here’s a guide to your week, in drink. Keep in mind that drink specials sometimes change during weekends with home games.
Monday:
Liquor lovers, head to Campus Bar & Grill for $1 shots (with a $5 cover). The bar also has $1 domestic bottles, if beer is what you’re thirsty for. Prefer draft? March on down to Shiloh Bar & Grill for $1 domestic drafts, $2 Boulevard and Blue Moon drafts and $2 Applesauce shots to shake it up.
Tuesday:
Feeling lucky? If so, it’s the perfect night for 1839 Taphouse, where you flip for your drink price. Heads, it’s free; tails, it’s full price. Only one way to try your luck! For a surer bet, head to Truman’s Bar & Grill for happy hour all night. PS: happy hour at Truman’s involves half off all alcohol.
Wednesday:
If you’re going out on a Wednesday, it’s hard to beat a night at Fieldhouse. Expect penny pitchers of beer and $4.50 pitchers of Long Island Ice Teas, along with discounts on Soco Lime shots and bombs ($5 cover).
Thursday:
Well, do you like liquor? Quad wells at Bengals Bar & Grill are $1 (with $5 cover) and triple wells at Campus Bar & Grill are $0.75.
If Thursday has you thirsty for beer, there’s no place like Harpo’s. Join the party for quarter draws and $1 “Jumbos” of house beer, and double those prices to splurge on Blue Moon and Boulevard ($5 cover). Willie’s runs a close second for beer specials with any beer for $2 (except for Guinness).
Willing to brave lines for a change of scene? There’s no cover at The Penguin Dueling Piano Bar on Thursday nights.
Friday:
TGIF! For a variety of shot specials (we’re talking a dollar or two here), return to Bengals. Fieldhouse and Willie’s also have beer specials, and Southside Pizza & Pub offers $4 pitchers.
Saturday:
It’s the height of the weekend, and Harpo’s often runs specials like $1 doubles or $10 bottomless cups of house beer. Shiloh’s offers $3 domestic pitchers, $3 triple wells and $2 Bacardi bombs.
Sunday:
Both beer and liquor lovers can enjoy Sunday Funday at Campus Bar & Grill with $1 burgers, $5 domestic pitchers and $5 vodka drinks. If you’ve no interest in food, try Southside Pizza for $3 pitchers and $1.50 Bloody Marys.
