If you missed Ellis Fischel Cancer Center’s third annual Artful Bra contest, you can still see the decorated bras on display. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, MU’s Museum of Art and Archaeology will display a selection of the entries in the Cast Gallery from Oct. 18-25.
Participants transformed a bra of their choosing into a themed work of art. Submissions typically take a humorous or entertaining topic and are judged for creativity. Past bras included a Noah’s Ark theme titled “Saving two-by-two” and a Mizzou sports theme titled “TigerTaTas.”
So, stop by to check out this year’s beautified bras at the free, one-week exhibit. And if you can’t make it (or are on the fence), go to the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center’s Facebook page to click through a photo album of last year’s creations, which are covered in everything from corks to candy bars to coconuts.
