Uncategorized > It’s the Great Pumpkin (Ale)!
Since it’s the very last day of October, you’ve probably been drinking pumpkin and Oktoberfest beers for quite some time now. But have you had Flat Branch’s Great Pumpkin Ale yet?
If you’re interested in trying the Great Pumpkin Ale, take home a half-gallon growler for $16 per fill, or come to Flat Branch to get an 18 oz. draw for four dollars.
Probably not this year, since it was released today. Flat Branch Pub & Brewing uses fresh pumpkins from Hackman’s Farm in Hartsburg and incorporates their local brewing expertise to produce a seasonal favorite. On their Facebook page, the brewery describes the ale as sweet and malty, with plenty of spice. “Think of your favorite brown ale and your Mom’s homemade pumpkin pie,” the page says.
This year, Flat Branch made two batches of ale, which comes to a total of 510 gallons. Between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. they had already sold 200 gallons.

Half-gallon growlers of Great Pumpkin Ale are available at Flat Branch Pub & Brewing for $16 per fill.
