Have you ever considered going to a alpaca farm for the weekend?
Look at their cute faces! Do you want to play with them?
Last weekend was National Alpaca Farm Day, and many families spent their weekend on farms with the interesting animals. Alpaca farms nationwide welcomed visitors to play with alpacas and learn interesting facts about them.
Three farms in Missouri, including Mid Missouri Alpacas, located in Mexico, joined in on the fun. The owner said it was their second year to participate, and she hopes more people come to the farm to learn about alpacas.
The farm offered various special events for people who came to visit, which included a chance to play with the alpacas on the farm or lead one around for a tour of the grounds. Excited children enjoyed the chance to see the cute animals, and many families took pictures. Along with those activities, visitors to the far were treated to live music for even more entertainment.
Guests can buy alpaca byproducts, such as alpaca fibers, and they can also pick apples around the farm.
A visit to Mid-Missouri Alpacas is a good opportunity to discover more about rural communities and get a close look at animals we don’t see every day.
