To know someone is to fish with them. Long periods of silence and monotony interspersed with jolts of tension on a fishing reel have a way of bringing out the character in a person. If you are patient, that virtue spreads to the act of catching a fish. It’s no surprise then that a story about fishing could be so dramatic.
