Wait Until Dark

Frederick Knott's classic thriller is set in late 1950's in Greenwich Village. A 1967 movie version featuring Audrey Hepburn as the blind heroine was named one of the 10 scariest movies of all time. Susy becomes the target of three con-men looking to recover a shipment of heroin hidden in a doll. The plot's twists and turns ends in almost complete darkness for all as a clever killer (Roat) pursues Susy through the apartment as a "tweener" who lives upstairs races to summon help.
