First Night Columbia in the District
Ring in the New Year in Columbia's downtown District. Events begin at 4 p.m. and go until the midnight fireworks grand finale. Doors open downtown at 7 p.m.. Activities include a 5K, children craft area, processions, dancing and music and takes place in 12 different venues downtown. This year's theme is "it's all about the guitar." Register in advance for $8 or it is $10 the day of. Children 7 and under are free.
