I Love America
The "I Love America!" Festival is a community-wide free event celebrating faith, family and freedom in mid-Missouri.
The 2009 I Love America Festival will feature a “crowd control” demonstration by the Columbia Mounted Police, a children and youth run/bike duathalon (pre-registration required), tug-of-war, live music, car show, petting zoo, bouncy houses and carnival games.
The I Love America Festival also features “Honoring Those Who Serve,” a special recognition program for all city uniformed personnel and members of the U.S. Armed Forces who put their individual rights and freedoms aside to protect ours. All uniformed personnel are invited to the festival to be honored. Additionally, the festival organizers with recognize a "Hero of The Year."
