Did Abraham Lincoln visit Columbia?

As a part of the 200th anniversary of the 16th president's birth, William Stolz of the Western of the Historical Manuscript Collection-Columbia will address the possibility of his visit to Columbia . Documentation of Mary Todd Lincoln's relatives that lived in Columbia in the early-1860s and of Lincoln's travels to Missouri indicate that it may in fact be true.
