Bluestem Missouri Crafts proudly showcases the works of featured artisans Juanita Yeager and Terry Evans. Yeager makes unique quilts, which are usually comprised of her own hand, dyed fabrics. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is now on display locally at Bluestem. "For the sake of the quilt, I am willing to explore and go down different paths in search of ways to fully express my visions through the use of color and cloth."
She says circles are her geometric shape of choice, and her work has evolved since she first began quilting in 1983. She now incorporates other mediums such as inks, oil pastels, colored pencils and acrylic paint. "I am inspired by nature and the changing colors of the season," says Yeager.

His artwork often includes different types of wood thereby creating colorful objects. His woodwork appears painted when actually it's the different species of wood that bring the variety of colors. "As people respond to my work, I am often struck by the fact that their first reaction is a smile," says Evans. "If I can create that, life is good."
