The Black Crowes
Warpaint
If you’re interested in seeing the Black Crowes live, well, you can’t — their March tour is already sold out. You can, however, buy their new album, Warpaint, on March 4. Staying true to its rock ’n’ roll roots and Southern influence, the band gives listeners an earful of bluesy tracks with a whole lot of soul. It’s unclear whether they’ve been talking to angels, but the Crowes did pair up with evangelist minister Charlie Jackson to write a song for the album called “God’s Got It.”
Flogging Molly
Float
Good golly, Flogging Molly releases its new album Float on March 4, just in time for Saint Patty’s day. How appropriate. The Irish-influenced punk rock band features an unconventional mix of instruments including an accordion, fiddle and mandolin. The seven-member band has been promoting its album on its Fourth Annual Green 17 Tour. So get in the holiday mood, put the album on and have a drink, or do a jig — whichever method suits your fancy.
