The Good: Doggie disaster averted
Nearly 800 dogs were taken from an elderly couple’s mobile home near Tucson, Ariz. Officials said the canines were in relatively good shape despite urine and feces littering the floors. The couple bred and sold the dogs but were unable to take care of them. More than 80 parrots were also retrieved. The animals will be put up for adoption. Polly want a new home?
The Bad: Poor parenting
A couple in Florida is facing child neglect charges after locking their 8-year-old daughter in a car while they went inside a bar to get drunk. The father told his daughter to stay in the car and keep the doors locked. The scared girl told detectives that she stayed there for fear of getting kidnapped. Note to parents: If you are going to get drunk, find a baby sitter.
The Ugly: Worst seat in the house
A Kansas woman finally got off her boyfriend’s mobile home toilet after remaining sedentary there for two years. The woman, whose skin had fused to the seat, has not said why she sat for so long. Her boyfriend brought her food and water each day and tried to coax her out of the bathroom until finally alerting authorities. The local sheriff has recommended filing charges.
