The iconic American swing singer Ella Fitzgerald rehearses for a concert on the French Riviera in 1966 in Rob Ruggiero’s “Ella.” When her manager asks her to improve her act, Fitzgerald is reminded of the past and takes the audience along with her on a journey that includes the heydays of jazz and dozens of Fitzgerald’s most memorable songs. “American Horizons: The Photographs of Art Sinsabaugh” Art Sinsabaugh is best known for his cityscape photography taken through an unusually large 12-by-20-inch camera. On display are his “Midwest Landscapes” and “Chicago Landscapes” of the 1960s and his “American Landscapes” taken in the late 1960s through the 1980s. Sinsabaugh’s rarely showcased photographs come from the Indiana University Art Museum’s photography collection. Through April 6.
