October 30, 2008 | 12:00 a.m. CST

The Good: Presidential Alection
The Half Moon Bay Brewing Company in San Francisco is selling ales labeled Obama and McCain. They are holding an alection to track sales. So far, Obama ale has outsold McCain ale by a ratio of nearly 4:1, but the politically charged beverages are in fact the same. Vote’s casted. Time to get blasted.

The Bad: Candidates Kiss and Tell
The October cover of The Progressive features an illustration of Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama involved in a passionate kiss, eyes closed and all. Editors have not supplied an explanation for the awkward lip lock. We know there’s no way the Nov. 4 presidential election will end with a kiss.
