The McDonalds aren't the only mid-Missouri family struggling with home ownership. In this slide show, Sheila Durnil talks about how she's been coping with the stress of foreclosure.
Since the interview in December, every day has been a challenge for Sheila Durnil. In early February, she accepted a job as a day care teacher at Cannery Row Preschool, and she’s hoping her new income will help her keep her home. Her house was originally scheduled for a foreclosure sale on Feb. 10, but with new paperwork in the system to review, the sale was postponed. “I’m still worried, and it’s not final yet,” she says. “But for right now, the stress is off us.”
