Booches has been serving burgers since before the first radio broadcast. The Tiger Hotel was standing tall before the U.S. entered World War II. When Pac-Man started eating pac-dots, Shakespeare’s had been tossing crusts for six years. From 1884, when Booches opened, to today, when local restaurants earn awards, good food and good atmosphere have become staples of Columbia’s culture.
