The Lion King has remained one of Disney's most celebrated films and boasts the title of the best selling home video of all time. Since it first came to theaters in 1994, is has been released on DVD, special edition DVD, and IMAX; adapted as a hugely successful Broadway musical; and now re-released in 3D. The updated version of this movie is an enhanced version of the classic.
As one can probably assume, the plot of the movie hasn’t changed since 1994. Simba runs away, exiled from his father Mufasa's kingdom after his evil uncle Scar tragically kills Mufasa during a stampede. Scar convinces Simba that he, the young cub, is responsible for his father’s death so that Scar can ultimately become king of Pride Rock.

For college-aged students, The Lion King 3D is the perfect way to revisit childhood memories. Judging from the packed theatre filled with not only children but children at heart as well, The Lion King is still regarded as one of the best classic Disney movies of all time.
