“Continually, my mom still sends me packages even though I am 24,” says Lydia Beck, 24.

“The value my grandma taught me — to get respect, you have to give respect,” says Randy Beeman, 52.

“My kid’s mother gave me my daughter,” says James Butler, 34.

“When they built me my Habitat home. I only have a couple more years, and it’s paid for,” says Fern Dameron, 44.

“My grandson talked me into adopting a Second Chance dog. It turned out to be a really good companion for me,” says LaVonne Patterson, 81.
