Welcome to the Fishbowl
Kenny Chesney
Released: June 19
Here’s to hoping album No. 13 proves lucky for Chesney. The country singer-songwriter is no newcomer but is still creating buzz and wooing ladies. In fact, all the attention he’s received has made Chesney feel as if he’s living in a fishbowl. Although the first single and duet with Tim McGraw, “Feel Like a Rockstar,” felt contrived, Chesney regained his authenticity in his newest single and heartbreak ballad, “Come Over.”

Oceania
The Smashing Pumpkins
Released: June 19
Although an album itself, Oceania is only part of a larger 44-track superalbum titled Teargarden by Kaleidyscope. Frontman Billy Corgan says the songs, which are being released a few at a time, contain a new melodic sound without losing the Pumpkins’ psychedelic old feel. The band, now composed of almost all new members, no longer has interest in commercial success, but with all the hype, that’s just what the Pumpkins should expect.
