Editor's Letter: Everything to do in Columbia this fall

Vox helps cure boredom with fall preview events

“There’s never anything to do in Columbia!” It’s a phrase we’ve all heard time and time again; we might have even used it ourselves in our finest moments of laziness and boredom. Truth is, Columbia offers ample activities every season.

That is where Vox comes in. We not only showcase these events weekly, but we also create our fall, spring and summer previews to combat that moment when you’re so bored that you’re forced to watch terrible reality television and reorganize your photo albums yet again.

So, step away from the remote, and spend some time perusing this year’s fall preview. We’ve compiled a lengthy list of activities to fill your calendar from now until the end of the year. Feel free to pull out the section and stick it on your fridge.

Next time a friend or family member says there is never anything to do, you can refer to it and prove him or her wrong. At the very least, you’ll have plenty of ideas to throw his or her way.

There is so much going on in Columbia and its neighboring communities throughout the next few months, but we could only fit 100 items in these pages. More events are available on our website at voxmagazine.com, and we’ll be sure to keep our calendar updated as new activities are announced.

It’s easy to fall into the boredom trap, and after our jobs, school, families and friends get the time they require from us, no one wants to work too hard to find something fun to do. We hope we’ve made it easier to schedule in some enjoyment.
