Rock musician and occasional actor Chris Isaak makes his Columbia debut just in time for the holidays as part of the University Concert Series. He’s got soul with Elvis and Cash inspired tunes, which should make for a pleasantly different holiday show than you’re used to hearing.
Related ArticlesIsaak has enjoyed a long and successful career in the music business, says University Concert Series Assistant Director Nathan Anderson. But he might be best known for his hot single in the ‘90s, “Wicked Game,” and several other top hits such as “Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing.” Isaak will showcase traditional holiday songs such as “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and “Let It Snow” but promises to feature some of his original music, too.
This calls for retro-sounding rock and country, so don’t expect sing-along versions of holiday carols. This performance will definitely attract his adult fan base despite the light Christmas season subject.
