Being In touch with inner thoughts and dreams is Walter Hrycaj’s expertise.
Hrycaj is the director of the School of Metaphysics, a branch of a group of 16 schools in the Midwest. The school aims to teach people to live based on the 13 Universal Laws that are understood and practiced by a metaphysician. Hrycaj chose to be the director to expand his influence at the school and in the community. According to Hrycaj, the ideal of the school is to aid “an individual to become a whole, functioning self.”
Hrycaj learned these principles at the School of Metaphysics branch in Indianapolis. He has used these ideals to help control his attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and Tourette syndrome. He is also able to interpret dreams and understand auras, and he passes the skills of understanding and using the mind to students at the school.
Why are dreams so important in the School of Metaphysics?
The reason why we dream is because in our waking daily life, our conscious minds are so busy that we have to go to sleep to cause the conscious mind to get out of the way of the self so we can receive from our inner-self or the subconscious mind.
What is a dream circle?
The dream circle is a place where people are able to come together and share their dreams. I guess in more aboriginal cultures, Indians, tribal type cultures, the first thing that they do is wake up and sit together, and they share their dreams. In America, we don’t do that.
So what we created is a way for people to come if they have a dream. We talk with them about the universal language of mind and how to interpret their dreams with the universal language of mind.
Then we sit down, and a person gets a stick to hold to share his or her dreams.
Is it possible to predict what will happen in your life through your dreams?
Dreams can actually access foreshadowing. If you were to talk to most people on the planet before the 9/11 attacks, I bet you most of the people, either the day before or two days before 9/11, had some dream about a plane crash. They would see that because we are all connected in the universal mind.
I had a dream of that. I actually had a dream of seeing planes crash. I got out of my car and there was all kinds of destruction, and I said, “It’s OK, everybody be safe.” Then the following day the 9/11 attacks happened. In the subconscious mind there’s no past, there’s no future, there’s no present. You can access previous lifetimes, you can access the future.
What is your inner-self and how do you know if you are connected to it?
It’s your soul. Your inner-self is always sending in an inner urge to your outer waking mind, and it’s continually happening to everyone all throughout the planet. It’s just whether or not you want to listen to it. Most people are closed off to it. They suppress it until they open it up with some foreign substance. However, that is temporary. In the school, we teach what is permanently lasting, and you can actually open and have access to that all day. You can choose to close it or open it at will. You can go in or out.
In some ways these sound like superpowers. Are they?
We help develop the supernatural powers in an individual, their spiritual powers, so to speak. A friend of mine said this is kind of like the X-Men school, and I was like, well, it doesn’t go that extreme.
What do you say to people who are skeptical of metaphysics?
Usually I just let people know the truth because I can’t give them understanding. I can’t help them understand what I’ve gone through unless I took my brain out of my head, put it in a projector and projected it up onto the wall. But I will say this, that where you are today through this course of study, by the time you complete, you’ll be a completely different person. It’s because you have gone through the process within yourself to cause your own enfoldment of who you want to become.
