In memory of the recently retired and much beloved NBC sitcom 30 Rock, which aired its final episode on Jan. 31, we’re celebrating Valentine’s Day Liz Lemon-style by ignoring it. We’re crowning Feb. 14 Anna Howard Shaw Day.
Shaw was a strong leader of the women’s suffrage movement at the turn of the 20th century. From punk mantras to disco ballads, our playlist this week celebrates revolution, independence, respect and all things girl power. Tina Fey would be proud.
