Mizzou 2 is organizing a free two-week photography training workshop for the spouses of international students, MU students and members of the community to help build friendship, learn a skill and to promote diversity. Everyone above the age of 15 is welcome to participate in this workshop, free of all charges.
Mizzou 2 serves as an avenue to advocate for the needs of F2 visa-holders who are not permitted to work during their stay with their student spouses who are getting their university degrees in the United States. The F2’s are an overlooked population until recently. Mizzou 2 creates an opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills by helping to promote the University of Missouri’s inclusive excellence framework by including the spouses of international students in campus activities thereby fostering human relationships and the dignity and worth of this population.
Sponsorship for this workshop is by the MU Center for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity, MU International Center, and MU office for Student Engagement.
