The show was inspired by the power of artwork, regardless of its size, and the story that it tells.
Inspired by the story and power of artwork, this exhibition consists of works created by 17 Columbia-area artists. Each artist created a mini-exhibition consisting of three to seven pieces of work — smaller than 8-by-10 inches — and wrote one narrative that explains how all of their work ties together. Although the dimensions may be minute, the exhibited work proves that profound stories can come in small packages. An opening reception will be held on Friday, June 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
The Gallery is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Montminy Gallery is located inside the Boone County History & Culture Center.
